Hello! I wanted to take an opportunity to introduce myself as the new NALP/Street Law Legal Diversity Pipeline Fellow. My name is Emily Peeler and I started in this position a little over a month ago. I graduated from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, and I also have my Masters of Social Work from Boston University. I am very excited to work with both NALP and Street Law through this fellowship.
In case you don’t already know, the Legal Diversity Pipeline program pairs law firms across the country with local diverse high schools. Legal professionals go into the classroom to teach the students, students come to the law firm for a day, and finally there is a continuing relationship with students and the firm.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and welcome any feedback or suggestions! You can follow me on twitter @NALPStreetLaw for updates and keep your eyes peeled for a new Diversity Exchange coming soon!
