Brand new results from NALP’s Survey of Legal Employers on Fall Recruiting and Associate Deferrals include the finding that 87% of summer associates received an offer from their summer employer. This after the rate plunged to 69% for the summer 2009 class. 87% is in line with the offer rates experienced from 2003 thru 2008. But, class sizes also were notably smaller, on average, in 2010 — about 8 compared with about 12 in the preceding years. More information will be available soon in Perspectives on Legal Recruiting, which will be published in March. You can read last year's Perspectives here.
