Objection Overruled: Overcoming Obstacles in the Lawyer Job Search
Kathy Morris, 2000.

Kathy Morris, like Kimm Walton in Guerilla Tactics, deals head-on with negativity in the job search process. Morris’s book complements Walton’s — hers addresses job search concerns of lawyers rather than law students, though much of what she says would be applicable to students as well. She encourages lawyers to put their natural strengths to use in the job search. Her tone is common-sense, conversational, and supportive. Her advice is practical and particularly strong in the areas of self-assessment and networking. The book has a handbook format. It is short and to the point but loaded with helpful advice. A must-read for lawyers who are considering a change either within or outside of the law.
