2026 Survey of Legal Employers on Summer Program Outcomes

NALP's 2026 Survey of Legal Employers on Summer Program Outcomes and Post-Summer Hiring is now open through Friday, October 30. This survey should be completed by any U.S. office that:

  • Hosted a 1L and/or 2L summer program in 2026;
  • Recruited 3L students for entry-level associate positions between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026; and/or
  • Hired post-clerkship associates between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026.

Important: This Is Part 2 of a Two-Part Survey

To better reflect today's recruiting timelines and provide insights more quickly, NALP split our annual recruiting survey into two phases this year. If your office completed Part 1 (on 2027 2L Summer Program Recruiting) earlier this summer, you still need to complete Part 2. Part 1 and Part 2 collect different information, and both are important for providing a complete picture of legal recruiting activity.

U.S. Legal Employers: If someone from your office plans to register for the 2027 Entry Level Legal Recruiting Summit to take place on January 20 in New York City, completion of this survey is required for attendance. Registration will open soon.
