March 2024
As the recruiting market for new associates continues to evolve, your listing in the NALP Directory of Legal Employers is more important than ever. The NALP Directory has been a trusted resource for law students and graduates for over 40 years, and remains one of the top sources that law students use for researching employers. Listing in the NALP Directory means job seekers can learn about your organization in one easy-to-access place so that you can focus on finding the right candidate for your organization. The 2024 NALP Directory is scheduled to go live in early April.
To start entering information for 2024, go to the data collection site at https://www.nalpdirectory.com/employer_login and log in using your employer ID and password. When you log in you will see a list of the forms from last year and will have the option to update them for this year and/or to create new forms. You will also have the option to copy information from a prior year into this year’s form(s).
Enter your data by working through the section tabs (in any order) to respond to the questions. Each screen offers a section summary to help you see which areas are complete or still need data. When you have gone through each screen, the system will provide the opportunity to review your form and update or skip any questions you may have left blank. You must complete this step and pay the appropriate listing fee in order to appear in the online directory. Remember that you can update your form at any time throughout the year.
The system provides an opportunity for employers to submit a NALP Form for a single office (or several individual offices) or to combine several offices on one Multi-Office Form. In order to present a complete picture of an organization for job seekers, NALP encourages large employers to complete and publish both a multi-office form and individual office forms.
What does it cost to list in the NALP Directory of Legal Employers?
The fees for listing in the NALP Directory vary depending on firm size, the number of additional offices, and the membership status of your organization. Each employer pays an initial listing fee that covers one form (NALP recommends that this be your largest office or your multi-office form) and then an additional fee for each additional form. Government agencies and public interest employers may list for free.
Sample pricing scenario:
Law Firm X (a NALP member firm) has two offices; the first office has 150 lawyers and the second office has 125 lawyers. The listing fees for Law Firm X would be calculated as
$1025 | (275 total lawyers in the firm determines the initial listing fee) |
+635 | (125 lawyers in the additional office) |
$1,660 | (Total fees) |

Remember: multi-office forms will not appear in geographic searches until a location is selected. An employer with a multi-office form must add a location under “Locations for Search” on the Org Profile tab in order to have that form appear in a geographic (city/state) search. One search location is included in the listing fee; additional cities can be associated with a single multi-office form for $375 per city.
Premium Account (member or non-member) $1500
Employers can opt for a premium account, an additional fee-based feature that will allow access to additional functionality. Some of these features include additional fields in the employer profile, the ability to upload and include a logo on your profile, connection of your social media channels to your profile page, and the ability to run benchmarking reports against other employers of your choosing.
